PHSI 425: Advanced Electromagnetism (PHSI)

Multipole expansions, the vector potential, mechanical properties of the electromagnetic field, Maxwell stress-energy tensor, gauge transformations, retarded solutions, Lienard-Wiechert potential, fields of a moving charge. Dipole radiation, arbitrary sources and radiated power.

Prerequisite: PHSI 332
