Module 403 deals with Advanced Electromagnetism:- Multipole expansions, macroscopic electrodynamics, dielectric and magnetic media. Mechanical properties of the electromagnetic field, Maxwell stress-energy tensor, gauge transformations, retarded solutions, Lienard-Wiechert potential, fields of a moving charge. Dipole radiation, arbitrary sources and radiated power.
